If you are reading these words than it’s evident that you’re seeking companionship, why wouldn’t you be? It’s the basic need of human nature, for without it one becomes disturbed mentally, physically and emotionally. I never knew this to be true until I was placed in a prison cell and companionship abandoned me. I’ve been incarcerated for 8 years now, five of those years spent in solitary confinement, no phone calls, no visits, and nothing but loneliness to keep me company. Pity is not what I seek, I seek a companion that’s willing to engage in a meaningful correspondence. One willing to understand and see things through the eyes of a prisoner who has been subjected to all forms of oppression. I’ve endured hunger, neglect, and a broken heart. A man 33 years old standing 5’11” with a bald head housing a brain full of thoughts and ideas, I remain unbroken mentally and physically. If you’re willing to step outside the box and do something different that different is me. I’m a novice journalist who strives to liberate myself and those around me with my words.
